Electrochemistry and electrogenerated chemiluminescence of all-trans conjugated polymer poly[distyrylbenzene-b-(ethylene oxide)]s
Article Abstract:
The electrochemistry and electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of two linear, stereoregular, and structurally defined poly(p-phenyl vinylene) (PPV) derivatives, poly[distyrylbenzene-b-(ethylene oxide)]s, with respective 12 and 16 of ethylene oxide repeat units in the backbone, DE-1 and DE-2 are studied on glassy carbon and Pt electrodes in C[H.sub.2][Cl.sub.2] and C[H.sub.3]CN containing 0.10 M tetra-n-butylammonium perchlorate (TBAP). The ECL has resulted from the interaction between the oxidized polymer species and the strong reducing TPrA free radical generated after the deprotonation of [(TPrA)..+] cation species.

Photoelectrochemical properties of poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)
Article Abstract:
The photoelectrochemical properties of poly (3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)/poly (styrene sulfonate) in contact with an electrolytic solution containing a redox couple were studied using the theories for the semiconductor electrolyte interface. The relatively low band gap energy (1.5eV) and the photoeffects observed at the interface suggest its use as the absorbing material in photoelectrochemical cells.

Structural and transport properties of an SPC/E electrolyte in a nanopore
Article Abstract:
The study of equilibrium (EMD) and nonequilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) simulation is presented to investigate the effects of confinement on the structural and transport properties of an electrolyte in a nanopore. The results view a decrease in hydration of the ions and the H-bonding of water as the pore radius decreases.
